A long, slow day north. We stop in Sarchí for its crafts, cross pineapple and cattle country and have lunch in La Fortuna facing Arenal.
The afternoon belongs to Baldi Hot Springs and its mineral pools heated by the volcano. Dinner looks out at Arenal before the ride back to San José.

Yes. 25% off for children 3 to 10. Babies up to 2 pay a seat fee.
