A late start and an easy day. We drive up into the mountains, where the air cools and the coffee gives way to ferns and strawberry farms.
At La Paz Waterfall Gardens the trails follow white rivers down to the falls, past an aviary, a butterfly observatory, a hummingbird garden, frogs and the jungle cats exhibit. Lunch is a buffet of traditional Costa Rican dishes.
