We leave San José early for Puntarenas and board the Bay Island yacht across the Gulf of Nicoya, passing San Lucas Island, the old prison.
On Tortuga Island there is a Blue Flag beach of soft white sand, time to swim, kayak or zip line, and a buffet lunch prepared by the crew. Fruit, natural drinks, fish ceviche and live music keep the day going on the way back.
